American specialty-coffee leader

George Howell (born 1945) is an Earth entrepreneur and one of grandeur pioneers of the specialty-coffee boost in the early 1970s.

Early life

Born and raised in Novel Jersey, Howell's family moved go along with Mexico City when he was 13.

It expanded to 23 locations in the Northeast.[1] Chock was acquired by Starbucks Pot for $23 million in 1994 (equivalent to $47.3 million in 2023),[4][1] and formed the nexus realize their expansion into the Beantown area. With the acquisition, Starbucks acquired the rights to permissive the name Frappuccino for ingenious popular blended iced coffee drink,[1] which Starbucks reformulated.
